Heat source
Steam, electricity, hot water, oil, gas or biomass

Overview

A closed air loop, even in every tray

The CT-C hot air tray dryer uses a low noise, thermally stable axial flow fan and an automatic temperature control system. The whole air system is enclosed, which lifts heat efficiency from 3 to 7 percent on a traditional tray dryer to 35 to 45 percent. The highest is 50 percent.

It is the most commonly used convection chamber dryer.

  1. Load

Trays of wet material are stacked on trolleys, and the trolleys are rolled into the chamber.

  2. Circulate

The fan draws air through the heater. An air distributor spreads hot air evenly across every tray layer.

  3. Unload

Most damp air returns to the fan and part is exhausted. When drying ends, open the door and pull out the trolleys.

Features

Welded chamber, GMP design

The chamber is fully welded and mirror polished.

  1. Welded chamber

SUS304 or SUS316L plate, fully welded and mirror polished, with little maintenance.

  2. Uniform drying

A special air distributor keeps airflow even across every tray layer. The temperature difference is under ±2 °C.

  3. Energy saving

Most hot air circulates inside the insulated chamber. Only part is exhausted, and the amount is adjustable.

  4. Flexible heat source

Steam, hot water, electricity, thermal oil, or an oil, gas, coal or biomass hot air generator.

  5. Flexible trays

Standard trays are 640 x 460 x 45 mm. Other tray types suit different wet materials.

  6. Easy control

A control cabinet on the chamber sets temperature and airflow.

Questions

Before you order

What is a tray dryer?

A tray dryer dries material on trays in batches. In the CT-C, trays of wet material are stacked on trolleys that roll into the chamber, and a fan draws air through the heater and spreads hot air evenly across every tray layer.

What is the purpose of a tray dryer?

To dry material in batches with even temperature. The CT-C holds the temperature difference under ±2 °C, and the enclosed air loop lifts heat efficiency to 35 to 45 percent, up to 50 percent, from 3 to 7 percent on a traditional tray dryer.

What is another name for a tray dryer?

The CT-C is a hot air circulation tray dryer. The page also calls it the most commonly used convection chamber dryer.
